In 2024, the TN Anganwadi Recruitment initiative aims to offer a variety of perks and support for its employees:
Staff members can take up to two consecutive casual leaves per month, adding any unused leave from prior months.
Each year, employees at Anganwadi Centres are entitled to a festival advance of Rs. 2000.
Those who retired before September 15, 2008, can benefit from the continuation of the Special Pension Scheme.
All staff at Child Centres under ICDS receive a monthly medical allowance of Rs. 100.
Anganwadi Workers with extra responsibilities will now enjoy an increased Additional Charge Allowance of Rs. 10 daily.
Individuals who served as Grade II Supervisors or in equivalent roles prior to April 1, 2003, may count 50% of their tenure as Anganwadi Workers when calculating their pension.
Employees undergoing surgery through the New insurance Scheme are eligible for 10 days of Medical Leave.
Eligible Anganwadi Workers have the chance for promotions to positions like Office Assistants or Grade II Supervisors.
Child Centre operational hours have been revised to 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.
The Traveling Allowance for Anganwadi Workers has been increased to Rs. 40 monthly.
Maternity leave has been extended to six months.
Anganwadi Workers and Helpers receive two sets of uniforms (sarees) each year.
Qualified Anganwadi Workers can now transition into BT Teachers through Special Tests.
